Social Media Tips: Attend Low Cost Conferences

SheCon Expo Orlando and Disney World Coronado Springs Resort

Nice central location to bring back those VIP Founders from the first conference last spring in Miami with great benefits. Affordable conferences are usually better for networking with some of the best while not denting your travel budget for something that may be a hobby or an aspiring entrepreneur. We are not doing this on a Corporate account. We are real people with a great desire to pursue our passion looking for like-minded people.

Educational Presentations will fill the halls with eager and excited attendees and speakers. Love the Marketers on the Expo floor too with great products to see and become familiar with. Loved Metromint Chocolate Water a lot. Free Shower head from American Standard was nice too. Pillow from Sleep Innovators is enjoyed every night. Maybe that IPAD2 will be mine this year. One can only hope.

Long weekend of learning May 25 to 27 in Florida can be still cool at night and nice in the daytime.

Make money blogging with Affiliate Associations

Blogging is a great way to share information, teach others, and develop business relationships. Making money to pay for your time, knowledge, and resources is a good business model. Finding the right affiliates, advertising, products, services, and other methods is part of the Marketing Strategy. Marketing strategy is part of the Business plan for any viable business. We come to realize it is a business. A business that needs to generate income in order to survive.

Affiliate ads market products or services for the same cost to the consumer whether they go through your link or straight to the source. Sometimes there is a code for a discount, getting permission to use that with your Marketing is important to retain your clients.

How do I make money on my Websites?

1. Adsense advertising brings in a little every month depending on what ads people click which varies by where they are located.

2. Affiliate advertising with individual organizations brings in a little each month. These are located in the margins and some on my Affiliate page

Klout Subway Tuna Fish Sandwich Perk Ten Dollars

A perk from Klout was a $10 gift card for Subway. They sent me a email where I accepted and gave my address. The gift card was mailed and I went to Subway and had a Breakfast sandwhich one day and a Tuna Subway another. Since then I have been back several times to have Tuna Subs. The Tuna Sandwich with all the extras is delicious. It is cost effective as a $5 sandwich that is filling, tasty, and great for your health to add fish to your diet.

This was a nice perk.

I missed out on the Flip Camera. Those are the only real perks I have been offered at this time. I started with about 53 and have gone as low as 41 and currently am rising in Klout.

Klout is tool for some Social Media Mixing by giving people Klout in topic areas. Not sure how that differentiates their klout but I found when I give Klout my score seems to go down. It seems the more you tweet, the higher the score. I don’t tweet a lot and then I will have a rush of tweets. I have tied in my Facebook and LinkedIn for now but may take them out since I don’t have as large a following on either one.

I heard recently about someone getting a hotel card for $200. I am hoping for more perks that are useful for me. There are some that give you partial credit toward buying something else but it hasn’t been anything I wanted.

The $10 Subway gift card was much appreciated. I could use it for free breakfast and lunch. I have started to use Klout again so I will see if I get anymore perks I want to get and use.

Finding innovative means of building your blog presence and reaching out to larger audiences can be accomplished with savvy Social Media Skills. Be attentive to what others are creating. Use many of those avenues to gain the skill and confidence to create your own pathways. Guest posting and commenting help add connections while Blog Carnivals can reach a larger audience. Blog Carnivals just like Fair Carnivals bring people or information together in one place. This view of the Vermont State Fair is an example of fun at Fairs. Digitially we connect people by links to other stories and post from other bloggers or writers.

One way to build connection and use Social Media is Blog Carnivals. Twitter chats done on Thursday under the hashtag #tourismchat is another Excellent form of using Social Media to connect and share ideas. The Tourism Chat brings together people in the industry, travel boards, and convention Bureau people to discuss a specific topic.

Post Title Secrets WordPress Plugins can Help

Secrets of drawing human attention can be found in Newspaper Headlines or News channels, stores, billboards, and advertising. Secrets of drawing machine search engines is a bit more complicated. Many books, postings and other articles have been written on SEO. For now, I am keeping it simple as I educate myself on doing this better. Looking at your stats can tell you what search terms people use.

For me, the secret is deciding what terms or phrases I would use if searching. My search engine of choice is www.dogpile.com because it does a very good comprehensive search using multiple search engines available. Nouns of the topic you are interested in help. Looking for Reviews of topic xxxx, use the word Review. Topics for learning, use Tutorial. How to in a title ranks very high in results. These secret secrets work on YouTube.

Right now over half of my traffic comes from searches. My titles sometimes are not as catchy as News Headlines but they get the attention of the search engines. Looking for good results for my research goes beyond the first three that are mostly sponsored posts.

Finding the right balance between humans and machines is the challenge. Using the Free tools available to you via plugins for WordPress can make your job easier to see how people are finding your Website. Including those phrases and words in post titles or Keywords is important Plugins I am using to help myself

Why do people want to read your post? Are you offering them helpful information? Catchy Title? Look at some of the results you get when searching. What are the titles? Which ones are you drawn to? Which page are they on?

One other thought on posts, adsense, would be what type of ads will be presented. If I am not covering the topic completely will my words bring up ads for sites that do cover the topic. Although the person is not getting the answers they want from my site, they are being led to a place where they can find the answer. For me this is a benefit for both of us.

Now if I were Tina Fey, my titles would rock. For now they are more practical.
