Love the song and the voices on the trailer. It was fun researching where Facebook began and evolved. The author of the book has had lots of success in writing books that become movies. Now I need to go read the book. When the movie comes out, it will be fun and entertaining to see it.

Will you go see the movie?

Facebook will be celebrating 500 million users this week. Last year they were at 200 million. It is growing exponentially since its launch in February 2004.

Facts keep coming about facebook via lawsuits or restraining orders. This one was from Paul Ceglia who sued Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg, claiming he hired Zuckerberg to build The Facebook. Ceglia is claiming part ownership in Facebook. It does seem the more I read that there is a lot of unfinished business and typical corporate style backstabbing that was part of the creation of Facebook. Although it was college students who started the company, they seemed to have learned their lessons well about doing business.

It will be interesting in the long term to see how the ownership of Facebook works out especially after the release of the movie which will make the story ubiquitous and go viral across the Internet and non-Internet. What claims will come forward at that time remain to be seen.

Mark is speaking at D8 conference, shown here in a video about the issues about privacy and changes he makes to facebook without informing anyone. His youth and inexperience show in the interview which will mature in time. The book was written with only the input of one of the founders as a consultant. Movies work on sensationalism and if the trailer is a good example of what will follow – the movie will be entertaining.

He takes off his hoodie and on the inside of the back is the mission of the company in graphics. The comments are interesting. He does seem to have ideas. Good ideas. The future is being written as we move forward. Facebook is about connecting people.

Dustin, one of the co-founders posted at Quora his opinions of the movie trailer and the contents of the story. Mark would rather it had not been made into a movie. Obviously, he does feel like it does justice to the true facts which is understandable. He said no matter how they portray Mark in the book – in the end he genius who is forward thinking and deserves recognition.

I am sure most of us would not like to see our story on the Big Screen unless we had a part in making it like the author of Live, Pray, Love did with her book and the movie.
